You are missing the point. There's short-circuit racing and then there is "real road racing". Most short circuit racers do not compete in real road racing events. You completed a track day on a short circuit, that gives some appreciation for short circuit racing, but not so much for the IoM TT.

Great video, I’m getting ready for a ride from So Cal. to Colorado. Only thing I’m nervous about is running into animals especially a deer as I hit one a couple years ago in Big Sur and managed not to go down, you ever have a problem with animals?

I have been watching your vids for years so might have seemed this one, but am looking at it again. Ms. Doodle, I have never ridden a Harley like your 800+lb Police Motorcycle and would be afraid that I would drop it, if not first practicing before taking it on the open road. I raised three children where the oldest will be 41 soon. It was and has always been a constant vigilance to watch over them. When they were young children, it was never to be distracted for a second as something could happen. This is how I trained my dearest wife ( aka Big C, or aka 'Biker Wife' ) in motorcycling before she got her MSF Certification last fall. When well trained, we can reduce the things that we need to fear about motorcycling, as many can be accounted for A Priori. As an example, there is a Right and Left turn only T intersection for entering Rt 1, Biker Wife will arrive at before I will when shadowing her. The Right turn is flat surface at the line separating it from the left turn, but further to the right it is banked at the Curb. Hence, lesson was to look for flat surfaces before also stopping with your handle bars absolutely straight or you will go down- btw: Ms 27th, Im the 25th ! Now I know why you are a pioneer !

Hey Doodle check out flat track racing. I grew up racing flat track racing. It died in the 80s when super motocross became popular, but flat track racing is making a comeback. Not as fast as that tt but just as exciting.

Even going to see the TT in person is a life changing event. The racing is indescribable to see, but on top of that, the local Manx people are simply the most friendly culture I've ever met. Ill be back for my third TT next year!
